ECZEMAS AND DRUG HYPERSENSITIVITY
3.12
Drug hypersensitivities
Drug hypersensitivity reactions involve the most diverging mechanisms and manifestations in allergology.
Additionally, the continuous development of new drug molecules results in new forms of adverse drug reactions. You may remember the problems with mercury and the adverse reactions to the first vaccines that led to the discovery of new hypersensitivity phenomena and the birth of allergology. On the other hand, drugs help countless patients, prevent many severe diseases, and have saved numerous lives.
What is your opinion on the benefits and risks of modern pharmacotherapy with regard to drug hypersensitivity?
Write down your thoughts.
