Mobile pastoralists and communication challenges

Providing healthcare for mobile pastoralists is a complex endeavour. It also involves understanding how to deal with cultural diversity and multilingual contexts.

Prof. Dr. Jakob Zinsstag and linguist Dr. Kristina Pelikan have worked together on many projects. While Dr. Kristina Pelikan explains how to think about communication in a multilingual setting, Prof. Dr. Jakob Zinsstag illustrates the theoretical approach with concrete examples from his work addressing healthcare for mobile pastoralists.
