This course is a step-by-step guide for lecturers at the University of Basel, showing you how to record sessions as easily as possible as well as how to put them online or stream them in real time.

Panopto offers a user-friendly way to hold your meetings online and in real time. The University of Basel has a licence for this software, so you can use Panopto free of charge with an @unibas e-mail address.

Please keep in mind the following points:

• Panopto recordings are automatically deleted two years after their last view.
• If you are recording a lecture or a seminar where students are present, if possible please ensure that they are not filmed or audible.
• If students are visible in your recording, it is your responsibility to ensure that the recording is deleted after six months.
