Imagine you’re new to a topic. How would you want an expert to explain it to you? Use that as the basis to explain your topic.

Don’t assume that learners have the knowledge that you have. Jumping straight into an advanced level of a topic without illustrating all the steps that lead to that level is confusing for learners, as shown in the picture below. Instead, guide them through the topic step by logical step.
