Methods of a medical historian
When researching medical history, source criticism and perseverance are essential. Historians need to know what kind of sources and archives exist, what steps to take when conducting archival research, how to evaluate their sources, and how to keep digging if sources are missing.
In this video, Andrea Kifyasi describes the methods historians use to research past events relating to health. From the University of Dar es Salaam and the Tanzania National Archive, he shows us how he assesses his sources. And what do historians do if sources are missing or lost? Watch the video to find out more.
