In this chapter, you’ll learn how to assess qualitative aspects of One Health and discover socio-cultural dimensions of of this concept. You will be introduced to the discipline of medical anthropology and learn to differentiate between quantitative and qualitative methods. You’ll discover why socio-cultural aspects in One Health are of great importance and why different perspectives on the same story give us a fuller picture of realities involved. You’ll see that it is equally important to engage with academics and non-academics - that are communities, local authorities and policy makers.
