Modelling animal-human disease transmission
With transition models, veterinarians can calculate the transmission of diseases from animals to human and the spread of the illness.
This is essential as it reveals where you can intervene in a given disease and, for example, how many animals you have to vaccinate to break the transmission from animals to humans.
