HOW WE READ TODAY
1.7
What are hyper reading and social reading?
In this video, Philipp Schweighauser gives you an overview of the different reading strategies that the course investigates, focusing on two lay reading techniques: hyper reading and social reading.
Hyper reading is typically employed when reading online texts on computers and thus plays an ever more important role in our lives and may transform our capacity for reading in general. Social reading is a collaborative form of online reading that incorporates discussion into the reading process and turns it into a communal experience.
